Termite mounds teeming with rubble populate the room.
Inside they preserve pieces of tiles, industrial waste and residues, among which three-dimensional letters made of sugar emerge. They have an order anda meaning too, but perhaps they are no longer important. They begin to compose scattered sentences and half-finished words. Nourishment for the soiled habitat, they slowly disappear under our eyes while termites are enlisted as decomposers of a new speaking mineral. The soil corrodes and consumes a verbal matter for which there will be no archaeologists. In an ecosystem where the production of matter is almost uninterrupted, destruction is necessary.

Termitai brulicanti di macerie popolano la sala. Al loro interno conservano pezzetti di piastrelle, scarti industriali e residui, tra cui affiorano lettere tridimensionali fatte di zucchero . Un ordine ce l’hanno e un significato pure, ma forse non sono più così importanti. Iniziano a comporre frasi disperse e parole lasciate a metà. Nutrimento per l’habitat terroso, scompaiono piano piano sotto i nostri occhi mentre le termiti sono arruolate come organismi decompositori di un nuovo minerale parlante. La terra corrode e consuma una materia verbale per cui non ci saranno archeologi. In un ecosistema dove la produzione di materia è pressoché ininterrotta, la distruzione è necessaria.
