Sissizio, from the Greek verb συσσιτειν, “to eat together,” composed of σύνsyn, “with, together” and σῖτονsìton, “food”). Sissizio is an invitation to taste, reflect, discover ingredients, and explore the preparation of some dishes that you have surely heard about but never had the courage to try. Through the curation of food, it is possible to learn or re-learn how to experience our bodies, space, time, earth, and community; to understand what it means to be human and how to share and coexist over time with our fellow humans and non-humans. In the center of the room, cutlery, plates and glasses are arranged and interlocked with one another in temporary constructions, implying the need, somewhat like in a game of shangai, to make a choice: how will my move determine the overall arrangement of the composition? Will it bring it down or will there be no consequence at all?

Sissizio è un invito ad assaggiare, riflettere, scoprire gli ingredienti e sviscerare la preparazione di alcune pietanze di cui sicuramente hai sentito parlare ma che non hai mai avuto il coraggio di provare. Attraverso la cura del cibo è possibile imparare o re-imparare a vivere il nostro corpo, lo spazio, il tempo, la terra e la comunità; capire cosa significa essere umani e come condividere e convivere nel tempo con i nostri simili umani e non.
Al centro della stanza posate, piatti e bicchieri sono disposti e incastrati gli uni con gli altri in costruzioni temporanee, implicando la necessità, un po’ come in una partita di shangai, di effettuare una scelta: in che modo la mia mossa determinerà l’assetto generale della composizione? La farà crollare o non ci sarà conseguenza alcuna?
