A photograph was spontaneously taken during the flooding of the river Enza close to my house in the countryside of Parma. Every year the floods are more and more frequent, and the risk for all the houses close to the river arises due to the climate changing. A hammer lays on the ground below a picture hanged on the wall installed under a safety glass. The spatial disposition of the objects suggests to take the tool and break the glass, but the action would lead to nothing since the hammer is just a pillow.

Una fotografia scattata istintivamente durante l’esondazione del fiume Enza vicino a casa, nella campagna parmense. Ogni anno, a causa dei cambiamenti climatici, le piene sono più frequenti e il rischio per le case che si trovano a ridosso dell’argine del fiume aumenta. Un martello giace a terra, ai piedi della fotografia installata a parete sotto un vetro di sicurezza. La disposizione spaziale degli oggetti suggerisce di prendere l’attrezzo e rompere il vetro, azione vana dal momento che il martello è solo un cuscino.
